Grand MArché d'art Contemporain at Saint Sulpice

Saint Sulpice was a fantastic show for me.  I'm just recovering, fairs are a marathon of chatting.  So draining.

The favorite painting in my stand was the Douanière
120x80
oil on canvas
I'm not surprised though this is just the beginning.  Often people like the debut of my paintings.  Yesterday I covered it with a mix of cadmium red and burnt umber and ultramarine blue, but I plan to bring it back to these chromatic tones.

My stand was on the second on left.  There's the church.

  1. Angie, I love the Douaniere and can't wait to see the finished piece. I didn't realize it was an "open air" type of exhibition. Does this affect or harm your paintings in any way? Also, do you work while there or is there just too much personal interaction to allow for that?

    Congratulations on a great show!

  2. Hi Laura, I thought of working while there but there are so many people walking by it is hard to concentrate on anything. No harm to the oil paintings but it did rain buckets on thursday evening.
