A box of Chocolate Prailines

A Box of Chocolate Prailines- n°59
private collection

 What better thing to eat on a rainy winter day.  I had to go down around the corner to Jadis Gourmand
The problem was which ones to choose!  The perfume of cocoa is so overwhelming, not for the weak and meak.  I love chocolate!

34 Notre Dame de Paris - an original oil painting by Angie Brooksby

Notre Dame de Paris - n°34
This painting is signed "Figé" and was painted in 2007 as a color study for a large painting that is now part of the Gables Collection Villa Rosa in Dallas, Texas.  Figé was a pseudonym that I used the last years I lived in Florence.  It is pronounced fi-gay.  Unfortunately in France it is a terrbile name for an artist the way it is written it means "stuck."  So I dropped it and went back to Brooksby.

33 macarons - an original oil painting by Angie Brooksby

This was my local boulangerie. Usually there is a line out the door even in the rain .
Macarons - n°33
I normally do not like macarons but the caramel one was killer and so was the cafe one. Yikes.

31 the Brioche Coupé

The smell was phenomenal and hard to not devour.  This kind of thing needs a round burgundy for company. No wine with painting - it had to wait.
