Last summer I was able to paint 12 medium sized paintings of NYC in seven weeks. This summer I've foregone painting for family reasons and have completed only two, but I've spent more time writing. I've completed 45,000 words of a memoir that turned into a fiction and 10k on a novel about an artist who wins a grant to paint in Paris and gets into lots of trouble.
Most recently I am working on a non-fiction about purchasing and managing property in Italy (Italy— To Buy or to Rent). I am collaborating with real estate agent /property manager Adriana Vermi of Tuscanfeeling.com. Our goal is to edit a comprehensive nuts and bolts guide to property questions in Italy. Here is an article that gives an idea of what you will find in the guide: Technical Tips to purchasing property in Italy.
In order to keep this blog all about painting you can follow my writing and read more articles on my other blog Ramblings of an Artist in Paris or Florence.
Monday schools in Paris re-open, so I'll be full time in the studio with lots of Parisian gourmandises and more contemporary landscapes of NYC.
Thank God for Mondays! (proverb from a wise mother)
